LS: Cooking (baked apples--located recipe at library, shopped for ingredients, practiced prep skills, importance of reading recipe through one time before starting!) and a Construction project (safety, shopping, math, construction/tool skills)

This was supposed to be a fun project for my art-loving girl.  Instead, it started
out as a nightmare that involved tears (we even had to replace the bottom
left square due to tear-damage :( )  and refrains of "I can't do this!"
I am so proud of her efforts and in the end I think she surprised herself!

Too often we give children answers to remember rather than problems to solve.
