Here Comes the First Day of School

Boy, that went fast!  Not really.  Took days to dig out the office and convert it to a school room.  But now we've got work surfaces and filing spaces, empty drawers and shelves to fill with books and supplies, and empty walls to fill with maps and art and whatnot.  Starting tomorrow off slow, with the morning work we intend to use all year long and an Olympics 2012 4-week unit study that will cover social studies, language arts, and some math/science.  One of us is excited, one of us is tired.  (Might have needed a week to recover from the cleaning...)  Some pictures of our space:

  Still have our floor pillows to make and books/supplies to put away, but with a Monday deadline, couldn't make miracles ;)
